Resolutions: (13)

  • Authorizing the Township to enter into a shared service agreement with the Borough of Netcong to upgrade a portion of the Netcong Water System and install additional water services to various locations in Mount Olive

Phase II of the Ringenbach Lane water system extension involves connecting several homes to the Netcong water system.  Shared service agreement with Netcong allows for the installation of a larger pipe to accommodate the new users.  This project will be funded by DEP. 

  • Authorizing the Mayor to execute a lease agreement with Outfront Media (formerly CBS Outdoor) for billboard panels 2650 and 2753 located on Township property at the Cloverhill Treatment Plant

Extending a lease agreement for the use of Township property for billboards.  Years 1-5 will be the greater of the yearly base rent or 25% of net sales and years 6-10 will increase to 30%.  Base rent will start at $5,500 and increase $500 every two years escalating to $7,500. 

  • Authorizing the cancellation of 2017 appropriations in the recreation utility fund

Accounting mechanism to cancel balances in the recreation utility fund and return $160,000 to surplus. 

  • Requesting approval from the Director of the Division of Local Government Services for insertion of a specific item of revenue into the 2017 municipal budget ($3,520 for Cops in Shops- College Fall Initiative)

Accounting mechanism to amend the 2017 budget to allow for the insertion of a grant recently awarded. 

  • Authorizing a one year contract extension on the award to Padik Auto Parts, Inc. and Fred Beans Parts, Inc. for bid# 15-2016 Rebid of Auto Parts for Fleet Vehicles  (2017-2018)

Extending a one year multi-vendor contract for auto parts as allowed in the specifications. 

  • Awarding a contract to Accuracy Electric, Inc. for bid# 19-2017 NJ Licensed Electrician Services (2017-2019)

Resolution accepting the bid and awarding a contract for electrical services.  One bid was received.  

  • Awarding a contract to Shannon Chemical Corporation and Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc. for bid# 18-2017 Water Treatment and Chemicals (2017-2019)

Resolution accepting the bid and awarding a multi-vendor contract for water treatment chemicals.  Four bids were received. 

  • Authorizing the procurement of a concession for a Bubble Run Event service through the competitive contracting process

As per the local public contracts law, we are required to select a concession through the competitive contracting process. 

  • Authorizing the use of a purchasing contract for 2017 (Firefighter One)

Resolution authorizing the purchase of fire and police equipment off of a NJ State contract. 

  • Approving a vendor service contract on a non-fair and open basis pursuant to Pay-to-Play Law (New Jersey Door Works, LLC) *REVISED

As per the local public contracts law, awarding a vendor contract not to exceed $25,000 to acquire door replacement parts for the Public Works Department. Revision to include different account numbers to be charged.

  • Approving a vendor service contract on a non-fair and open basis pursuant to Pay-to-Play Law (Gold Type Business Machines) *REVISED

As per the local public contracts law, awarding a vendor contract not to exceed $41,155 to renew e-ticketing software.  Revision to include different account numbers to be charged.

  • Closing the bridge on Flanders-Drakestown road at the intersection with River Road between December 1, 2017 and January 31, 2018

Resolution extending the road closure for Flanders-Drakestown road to complete construction of the County Bridge. 

  • Closing a portion of Mine Hill Road for Construction on December 6, 2017

Resolution closing a portion of Mine Hill Road to complete a water line connection project. 

Ordinance for Second Reading: (2)

  • Amending Ordinance #28-2016 of the Township of Mount Olive entitled salaries of certain non-union personnel

Annual salary ordinance amending part time hourly wages for non-union employees for 2018

  • Amending Ordinance #27-16 which established salaries for the Mayor, Council, Department Heads, Supervisory Personnel and employees of the Township Clerk’s Office

Annual salary ordinance amending salaries for supervisory personnel for 2018.
